What’s so bad about denying knowledge anyway?
I mean so what? There are many people of at least average intelligence who deny the validity of evolution and as soon as they work out that nuclear physics also contradicts the bible by placing the age of the earth far older than 6000 years, they’ll deny that as well. What’s the worst that could happen if these people had their way and any knowledge that contradicts the bible is scrapped from the world’s education systems and replaced with more religious studies? Is it going to hinder our technological progress that much? The vast majority of people don’t become nuclear physicists or biologists so if the vast majority of people are left completely clueless about these areas of science, then it won’t cause too much harm, will it?
