Trouble with Linksys Wireless router after changing SSID?

I was having problems with the router before this happened and I decided to change the SSID. The previous problem was the router was broadcasting multiple signals (ex. 'linksys 2, linksys 2 3. linksys 2 3 4 etc.). To fix this, I changed the broadcast channel and the SSID to something besides linksys, and now I am disconnected from the internet completely, and I can't even get to the router page. However, on the list of wireless networks, I can still see the unsecured repeating linksys broadcasts from my router, and I can connect to them, but they don't give internet or local. I am posting this question off of my neighbors wireless. Help???
