I have downloaded world of warcraft onto my pc, i am connected to the internet, but it still says cannot?

connect to new server. Please check your network connect and try again. ??? I am on the internet, as im talking to you now, but wow isnt working? ive played it before i just downloaded it onto this pc because my other one isnt working currently.. any ideas? Just to let you know, im not sur eif this has anything to do with it, i recently had a pssword put onto my router, and when i turned on this pc, it said it couldnt connect because the settings were different. so i cahnged the settings and then it started working again. IM not sure if thats relevant but its just another thing that could help you figure out whats wrong! :) (i own lich king and cata, but i dont want to insall them until i have donwloaded the patch for bc) but i cant becase of the internet not connceted to wow or vice versa. If anyone can help please i thank them greatly !:)
