Can i get Insurance For Ipod?

OK so i have this ipod touch that i bought since march and My ipod has been messed up all of a sudden ons are not working and its not functioning right but i still listen to music on it but it gets annoying cuz then the ipod will plainly be mess up now its august im back in school and my friend got an ipod touch same place where i got it walmart and she has insurance on it and i neva knew you could get insurance for it my other friend today she just told me she got the insurance for it too it dont make sense because we all got ipods from the same place but they have the insurance since i dont have it i was wondering if i could back to walmart and ask for the insurance so i can get a replacement for my ipod because i need a new one bad
